Doddridge County is a county located in the U.S. state of West Virginia. As of the 2010 census, the population was 8,202, making it the least populous county in West Virginia. The county was created in 1845 from parts of Harrison, Lewis, and Ritchie counties and is named for Philip Doddridge, a pioneer settler and distinguished statesman of the Revolutionary period. The county seat is West Union.
