Jasper is a city in Jasper County, Texas, United States. The population was 7,590 at the 2010 census. Jasper is the county seat of Jasper County and is situated in East Texas. The city is located on the Jasper-Newton county line, about 50 miles (80 km) northeast of Beaumont and about 90 miles (140 km) southeast of Tyler.
