Henderson County is a county located in the U.S. state of North Carolina. As of the 2010 census, the population was 106,740. Its county seat is Hendersonville. The county was formed in 1838 from parts of Buncombe County and Rutherford County. It is named for Richard Henderson, a judge and land speculator who played a leading role in the Regulator movement and in the establishment of Kentucky as a state.
