Leflore County, Mississippi is a county located in the U.S. state of Mississippi. As of the 2010 census, the population was 32,317. The county seat is Greenwood. The county was created by the Mississippi Legislature on February 9, 1871, from parts of Carroll, Sunflower and Tallahatchie counties. It was named for Choctaw chief Greenwood LeFlore.
