Haines Junction is a village in Yukon, Canada, located at kilometre 1,689 (kilometre 1,051 on the Alaska Highway) on the Alaska Highway. The village was originally known as Dezadeash Crossing, and was renamed in 1942 for Richard Haines, a local trapper and prospector. The village is now the administrative centre for the Kluane Region.
