Archdale is a city in Randolph County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 7,415 at the 2010 census, and had increased to 8,265 as of the 2018 estimate. Archdale is located just south of High Point, NC, and is part of the Piedmont Triad metropolitan statistical area. The city was founded in 1735 and is named after Sir John Archdale, the governor of the Carolina Colony from 1695 to 1699.
